Centered in the middle of Charleston and North Charleston, Joint Base Charleston is home to the largest fleet of C-17’s for Air Mobility and the training hub for the Navy’s Nuclear Program.

Joint Base Charleston has been a core part of North Charleston for many years and numerous operations for humanitarian aid as well as war efforts have launched from our beloved base. Sharing space with. the Charleston International Airport, it can be accessed within minutes of Tanger Outlets, Park Circle, Dorchester Rd, and Ashley Phosphate Rd.

Joint Base Charleston brings thousands of airmen and Sailors through Charleston regularly, showcasing our great city and giving even more people an interest in living in our wonderful location.

The local municipalities and Chambers of Commerce work with the leadership of the base often to continuously improve the local offerings for military families and for the civilians that live in the local area.
